The Cranberries band has presented a new music video and a collection of «Remembering Dolores» in honor of the birthday of their former lead singer Dolores O’Riordan, who would have turned 50 on September 6. The playlist includes 15 selected songs from the entire discography of the band.
— To celebrate all that she inspired and the joy that she gave, her bandmates, friends and family on her 50th anniversary have compiled a new collection called «Remembering Dolores», which is now available on all streaming platforms, — the band members wrote on Facebook.
The track list is headed by the song «Never Grow Old», which turns 20 in October, from the band’s fifth album «Wake Up And Smell The Coffee». Cranberries released a music video made up of previously unpublished archival materials, which was filmed for this track.
The video begins with a shot of O’Riordan in an apron and rubber gloves polishing a wooden table, and the band members are sitting behind her. She looks at the camera and says: «Sorry, we can’t be with you, as you can see, we are busy with business.»
The Cranberries band decided to cease to exist after the release of the last album «The End» in 2019. The lead singer of the band Dolores O’Riordan died on January 15, 2018 at the age of 46 in London.
