The French project has created some of the biggest hits of dance music.
Legendary French electronic duo Daft Punk have officially disbanded after 28 years together, the band’s publicist confirmed to Pitchfork after they posted an excerpt from their 2006 film «Electroma» showing them exploding in the desert.
Daft Punk formed in 1993 and have created some of the most popular dance songs of all time. They are known for their helmet-wearing robot suits that defined their visual identity, and first gained notoriety with the release of Homework in 1997. In the following years, such hits as “One More Time” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” were born, and the albums Human After All 2005, Random Access Memory 2013 and the soundtrack Tron: Legacy 2010, further strengthened their legacy. Daft Punk has recorded collaborations with Kanye West, The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams and many others.
